Davido Opens Up About Passing of Son
AfroBeats megastar Davido is opening up about the passing of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi. While promoting the release of his new album Timeless, Davido took a moment to reflect on the creation of the project while grieving the tragic loss of the toddler.
“Before my son passed, we had finished the album. But it was a tragic situation and I really had to calm myself down and take a step back,” he said in a quote to CNN. He continued, “At some point, I couldn’t open my Instagram for weeks. One day, I just checked it and I saw messages from every kind of person in the world. I was like, ‘you’re fine, you see everybody is rooting for you.’ That was one thing that really made me strong enough to stand up again, get back in the studio and do what I love.”
Ifeanyi drowned in a swimming pool last year while he and his fiancé, now wife, were away.
Donald Trump to Be Indicted
A grand jury has voted to indict former U.S. president Donald Trump for his attempts to cover an affair with pornstar Stormy Daniels through hush money. This historic verdict makes Trump the first ever former president to ever be indicted on criminal charges. Although Trump still maintains his innocence, it is reported that he will turn himself into the police on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
FX’s Snowfall Spin Off In Development
As reported by Deadline, a spinpff of FX’s hit show Snowfall is currently in development. Now in its last season, Snowfall star Gail Bean—who played Wanda— is rumored to lead the new show. It would follow the evolution of Los Angeles through the crack epidemic and into its famed gangsta rap era in the 90s. Outside of Bean, it is unclear what other major characters would return from the series.
