“Now We’ve Got A Problem”: Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals She Would Absolutely Divorce Husband Will Smith If He Ever Did Something Bad To The Kids, Says Thats Her Only Dealbreaker

We ride together, we die toegether… Bad Marriage for life.

Will and Jada Pinkett Smith just might have a bond that has the strength of diamonds.  For years their relationship has been under the microscope, being labeled as either the pinnacle of black love or an unconventional marriage that people don’t want parts of.  However which way their relationship is viewed, what seems to run truly is they have a system for their relationship that may not work for others, but it surely works for them.

To say that the couple hasn’t had their share of ups and downs would be a severe understatement.  One of this year’s biggest scandals came courtesy of their household, thanks to R&B singer August Alsina.  The couple went through weeks of publicity clean-up in attempts to “detangle” themselves from the drama (that happened to occur more than four years ago during a brief break in their marriage), which included a special episode of Red Table Talk to address the rumors.

In another instance during an episode of the Facebook Watch talk show, Jada explained how the couple went through a rough patch.  It was a period, she says, where she “woke up and cried 45 days straight.”  Will stepped in to add,  “It was every morning. I think that’s the worst I’ve ever felt in our marriage. I was failing miserably.”

However, nothing that the couple has faced ever since they said “I Do” to one another has ever hit the final nail in the coffin for them.  In many instances, either one of the pair has made it clear that they will never be divorcing and that their marriage is for life.  . “Here’s the thing about Will and I — [we] are family. That is never going down,” Jada said once while appearing on Sway’s Universe. “We are family. Take out all that whole marriage/ relationship crap, at the end of the day, Will and I are family. I am going to hold him down, doesn’t matter. All that relationship and what people think ideas of a husband, partner, and all that, man, whatever. At the end of the day, that is a man that can rely on me for the rest of his life, period.”

The Bad Boys star explained that he and his wife no longer refer to their relationship status as “married” anymore.  “We refer to ourselves as life partners,” Smith stated. “Where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life. There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do — ever. Nothing that would break our relationship,” he said. “She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space.”

Every relationship has room to evolve, especially when compromise is involved.  “To have to let go of the picture, to have to let go of the dream was devastating. We essentially had to destroy our marriage,” Will confessed, speaking on rebuilding their marriage at one point.  “Because I had been divorced before, I wasn’t getting divorced again. Divorce wasn’t an option,” the actor confessed. “I was devastated even worse than a divorce. We broke up within our marriage and got back together again. We had to rebuild with new rules and something way, completely different.”

Jada also spoke on her “very high expectations” that she had before marrying her now-husband.  “The way I ended up with Will, I had to change my whole perspective because — I want you to know something — he was not the dude,” she said. “But I had to change that. I can’t ask somebody to be for me what I am not willing to be for them. And what I realized in my partnership with Will was that I was asking him to be a lot of things for me that I wasn’t willing to do for me.”

She added that through tough times, they always found a way to bounce back. “There have been several occasions where you just had enough and you want to leave, and I just couldn’t or Will just couldn’t,” she recalled. “Because we knew this was what was meant to be, this partnership, no matter what the form is. We had to redefine it, reform it, change it.”

Amidst all of the promises of them staying together, Jada has revealed there is ONE thing that would make her abandon Will.  “If he did something bad to the kids — now we’ve got a problem,” Pinkett-Smith said, speaking of their children Willow and Jaden.  According to Will, however, there’s nothing that his wife could do to change his mind about her.  “There’s no deal breakers. There’s nothing she could do — ever. Nothing that would break our relationship,” Smith said. “She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space.”

Through it all, the couple has no regrets.  They know their relationship is wide open and available for public scrutiny, but they continue to press on.  “It’s really frustrating to the whole family that their personal life is blasted out into the open, but they’re used to it,” a source told US Magazine about their marriage. “But when you look at the facts, Will and Jada’s situation is something that any normal couple could go through. Couples go through things, really hard things, but when it’s true love, they reconcile and come out of it stronger.”
