Tiffany Haddish, as a comedian, more than likely is going to say something that someone doesn’t like or approve of her. Even more so since she also hosts Kids Say the Darndest Things, a show where she talks to kids who are just as outspoken as she is. One thing she doesn’t do, according to her, is “lie on [herself]” as Chingy has now backtracked and revealed happen.
Chingy is, unfortunately, just one of the targets of Haddish’s reminiscing. Haddish has been gushing lately about her new love Common, sharing that the two have been in a relationship that started right around the time the quarantine did. While she’s definitely happy, she’s still Tiffany, and she’s shared a story of a rapper love that once was – Drake.
Haddish and a whole host of others appeared in Drake’s 2008 video for his hit song “Nice for What,” and it was around the time of this experience that Haddish’s story starts on her interactions with the global superstar. She shared the story in an interview with fellow comedienne Luenell on VladTV. Turns out, it all started with a DM. Power, indeed.
“I had no relationship with Drake whatsoever,” Tiffany Haddish admitted. “I would explore it if he was trying to… What kind of personality do he got? What’s the tea with him? He had slid in my DMs, I had no idea. I ran into him at a party and he was like, ‘Man, I was in your DMs. I’m trying to get you to do my music video.’”
Haddish indeed checked her messages and there was Drake. She accepted, did the video, and then Drake told her he’d like to take her for dinner. However, as the story goes, told by Haddish – Drake had to cancel at the last minute for a “family emergency.” Haddish believed this emergency years ago was the birth of his then-secret son with Sophie Brussaux, Adonis.

As the story goes with Drake, there are many similarities to how Haddish first came across Chingy. While doing press recently on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Haddish let slip that she had a fling with the rapper back during the start of his career. Chingy then took to the Internet and called out her comment.
“Now @tiffanyhaddish knows damn well that’s a lie an since she lied I’m a tell the truth she use to hook up with my brother not me but she liked me,” he said in a since-deleted post on Instagram. “Hey if we gone be honest let’s be honest #chingy #facts #juslikethat.”
When Haddish heard the rapper’s response, she immediately clapped back with receipts – even revealing she also hooked up with his brother.
“Really Chingy stop. I hooked up with you once like 2 months after we met,” she commented under the rapper’s post before he removed it from his page. “Granted the [hook up] was not good cuz you was ‘sleepy.’ I was definitely in your bed at that hotel on San Vincente and Sunset. S–t, you pulled down my Sergio Valente’s.
“After that I knew that was never happened again. Cause a few days later, I found out you was hooking up with my home girl that was a dancer in that video you did with Houston and she was pregnant,” she continued. “So I back off and three months later I hooked up with your brother. Please Haddish never lies on her p—.”
Chingy finally copped to the interactions with Haddish, blaming his memory on the fact that he was drinking heavily at the time and also “knocking ‘em down,” according to his appearance on Mike Hill’s podcast for Fox Soul in early 2020. So he turned to his brother, who Chingy said knows “everything.” Sure enough, he confirmed Haddish’s story.
“So I call him and I’m like, ‘Ay man…did that happen?!’ He said, ‘Yeah that happened, I was with her friend. You had her. One night, everybody was f’d up,’” he added. “‘We was in my room, then you and her want to your room, then whoop de whoop.’ So it is what it is. It happened.”
