Chrissy Teigen and Singer John Legend Emotionally Announce The Loss Of Third Child, Following Hospital Visit Due To Pregnancy Complication

Chrissy Teigen and her husband, Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend, are suffering an unfortunate loss in their immediate family.  The couple was due to have their third child but however, Chrissy has revealed the devastating news to Instagram that their newborn son has died.

Teigen and Legend share two children already, a daughter, Luna, born in 2016, and a son, Miles, born in 2018.  Back in August, fans celebrated along with the couple in the amazing news that their family would be extending.  The “All Of Me” singer released the music video for “Wild”, his latest single off his latest album of the “Bigger Love”, where he and his wife celebrate their love, their family, and also revealed Teigen’s then baby bump at the conclusion, where he wrapped his arms around her belly.  To debut the video, the couple did in an Instagram Live session and hinted at the surprise saying, “It’s been chronicling our family’s growth and our journey and we’re so happy that this video is the next chapter.”

Over the last few weeks, the host of “Lip Sync Battle” began to share a bit more of her pregnancy journey, confessing that this one was a bit more difficult than the first two.  “I’m on official 2-week bed rest,” she posted on Twitter.  “I’m taking this time to learn how to sew capes and kid clothes, so sh*t is about to get… astonishingly ugly,”

According to “OK! Magazine”, on Sunday, September 27th, Teigen was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles due to a month of bleeding that had worsened.  She shared with the publication, “We all know I’ve been on bed rest for a few weeks and that’s like super serious bed rest. I get up to pee and take baths twice a week, no showering, just as little as possible.”

“But I was always, always bleeding,” she continued. “I’m about halfway through pregnancy and the blood has been going on for about a month, maybe a little bit less than a month. We’re talking about more than your period girls, it’s definitely not spotting. A lot of people spot but it’s usually fine. Mine was a lot.”  Teigen went on to explain that on that particular Sunday the bleeding was comparable to a faucet left on low.

Unfortunately, the model took to Instagram tonight to share heartbreaking news to her followers of their newborn’s death.  “We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before,” she began in the lengthy post. “We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.

“We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital. But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”

“To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.

She went on to thank all of her supporters that were there for them and encouraged her through the difficult pregnancy and this devastating time.  ”Thank you to everyone who has been sending us positive energy, thoughts and prayers. We feel all of your love and truly appreciate you.

“We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But everyday can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”

Our thoughts and prayers are truly with the family during this time of grief.
