A Tennessee man was arrested after reportedly harassing two Black children at a Family Dollar store. Bradley Watkins allegedly attempted to run the children over while holding a firearm threatening to kill them and yelling racial slurs.
The victim told Memphis Police Department that he and Watkins had an argument inside the store and the white man used the n-word. The victim and his brother were walking home, Watkins followed them in a white Ford Crown Victoria while holding a gun according to the affidavit. The victims both ran in different directions while Watkins chased them pointing a gun and yelling “N—-, I’ll kill you.”
Both boys got home safe and their grandmother called the police. A neighbor claims she saw Watkins chasing the boys in his car running them off the road.
Watkins told police that he had a disagreement with the two kids, however, didn’t mention anything about the chase. He also refused to allow police to search his home or car.
Watkins has since been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
