Philadelphia Aaliyah and Khaliyah White twin sisters have graduated from GAMP High School according to NBC 10.
The twins were able to overcome hardships to graduate top of their class as Khaliyah graduated valedictorian and Aaliyah graduated salutatorian. The pair credits much of their success to their mother who passed away in 2019.
“She was proud of us for everything that we were doing,” they told the news outlet. Due to COVID-19, the twins will be having their graduation virtually wherein they are set to address their fellow graduates.
“We’re still doing everything even though it is not the same as before. We’re going through this and we will be stronger and more prepared for anything that comes in the future.”
Khaliyah is planning to attend Delaware State University, while Aaliyah is heading to the University of Pennsylvania.
