Insecure star Yvonne Orji tells it like it is. If you’ve seen her stand up comedy specials, you know she has keeps it real and has a joke for every occasion. A personal aspect of her life she’s been very open about is her virginity. Back in 2017, she revealed to People that she was abstaining from sex until marriage.

“People ask about it because they’re curious, or they may not understand,” she said. “How will they ever understand if I don’t talk about it? I can inform your curiosity, as opposed to everyone being in the dark and just sort of creating their own narrative about it.”

During a recent appearance on Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea podcast, the two comedians joked about Orji’s sex life, with the host asking, “Are you still a virgin?” Once the Momma, I Made It! artist confirmed that she was, Handler called the actress “the most original guest we’ve ever had on.” Chelsea added: “That dam is going to break one day, baby.”

They had a good time laughing about all of this, with the Vacation Friends star offering advice for her future husband, saying, “Pray for him, whoever he is. There’s a lot of pent-up energy up in here with me.”

Since Yvonne is 39, Handler noted that she’s “going to hit [her] sexual peak” when she finally gets married, stating that The Blackening star will “need a couple of men, probably.” To which Orji jokingly responded, “Yvonne went from being a virgin to polyamory.”

As you would expect the internet is getting all their jokes off about Molly from Insecure still being a virgin. As a comedian, even Yvonne is having a lot of fun with the issue. However, I have nothing but respect for someone who looks inside themselves to figure out what’s right for them, and sticks to their principles even after their whole life is upended by fame.
