Emmy-nominated actress Storm Reid has teamed up with lifestyle brand New Balance for their first sneaker launch. While this is her first official shoe drop, Reid has been a New Balance ambassador since October 2021.
The partnership between New Balance and the “Euphoria” actress extends beyond footwear, and further amplifies Reid’s influential voice within the industry as she ignites meaningful conversations around representation, self-expression, and empowerment.
“My first collaboration with New Balance is not only exciting but incredibly meaningful. This campaign is reminiscent of my childhood, growing up in Atlanta,” Storm Reid said. “I am so grateful to the team at New Balance for their collaboration every step of the way in designing this shoe together and for being on board to create a campaign that is representative of my roots and the culture of my hometown.”
The shoe features nylon u’lays, suede o’lays, a custom storm branded tongue label, sockliner, and lace aglets. A surprise “1720” is also hidden “somewhere” on the shoe, a personal element that nods to her faith, which Reid noted she wants fans to find on their own. Her favorite shade of blue is also featured on the model via the “N” logo on the side of the upper, as well as the tongue label.
