Boris Kodjoe’s 50th Birthday Was a Celebration for the Ages

Hosted at the Bel Air Hotel in Los Angeles, actor and timeless heartthrob Boris Kodjoe rang in his 50th year around the sun in style this past weekend. 

EBONY was in the building to witness this glorious celebration of life. “I’m still in a daze from all the love I got from my family and friends who showed up to celebrate my birthday. I have no idea how Nicole managed to get my favorite people there from all over the world,” shared Kodjoe. “I haven’t eaten so well, danced so hard and laughed so much in my life. I don’t think anyone actually left. They might still be on the dance floor. My heart is full. I’m so grateful. I love 50!”

Attendees included Richard Lawson and Tina Knowles Lawson, Debbie Allen and Norm Nixon, Taye Diggs and Apryl Jones, Melissa De Sousa, Morris Chestnut, Dondré Whitfield, Salli Richardson Whitfield, Merle Dandridge and many more. His children and mother were also in attendance.

Above all, he was able to ring in this new year of life with his loving wife Nicole Ari Parker.

“This is an extra special night for B. Everyone from every part of his life made it here to celebrate with him. From his childhood in Germany, his family and close friends from Ghana, his college friends from VCU and his entire crew from Los Angeles and beyond, this is a chance for all of us to let him know how much we see him for the amazing human that he is and that we love him, support him and are here for him always,” said Ari Parker.
