Two sisters and a friend are missing in Mexico after crossing the Mexican border from Texas. Maritza Rios, 47; Marina Rios, 48; and Dora Saenz, 53, traveled to Mexico on Friday, February 24th, to sell clothes at a flea market. The woman traveled to Mexico from Peñitas, a small border city in Texas. The husband of one of the women reported the group missing on February 27th after attempting to reach his wife over the weekend. To date, the women are still missing. The Mexican authorities are currently investigating their disappearance.

This news comes one week after four Americans were snatched after entering the Mexican Border from Brownsville, TX. Latavia “Tay” McGee, Eric James Williams, Zindell Brown, and Shaeed Woodard took a trip to Mexico from South Carolina so Latavia could undergo a tummy tuck procedure in the Mexican city of Matamoros. After arriving across the border, the four Americans were met by gunfire before being pulled from their vehicle and escorted into a white van.

Latavia “Tay” McGee and Eric James Williams were found in a wooden shack on Tuesday. Unfortunately, Zindell Brown and Shaeed Woodard’s lives were taken during the incident, along with another innocent bystander named Arely Servando. While the disappearance of the three women remains unsolved, the Gulf Cartel turned over five of its members along with an apology letter.

The organization condemned the individuals for acting based on their own discretion and taking the lives of innocent individuals. Since the incident, the media has begun pulling the lengthy criminal history of the individuals involved. The US government is currently investigating the four individuals involved.

We’ll keep you posted on any updates regarding both cases. The US is currently working closely with Mexican authorities to find the three women.
