SZA received her award for Billboard’s Women of the Year in which she received accolades from her peers such as Lizzo. “You are the real deal. You are such a genuine human being, a genuine artist, a poet, a songwriter, an emoter who’s a once-in-a-lifetime, once-in-a-generation talent. We don’t deserve you!” said the “About Damn Time” singer.
Doechii took to the stage to perform; Chloe Bailey and Latto shared an intimate moment of kinship and sisterhood; and a variety of Black women received flowers for their contributions to music.
