The dynamic duo Ant-Man (Paul Rudd) and the Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), are back stronger than ever in Marvel’s new film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The film starring EBONY’s February 2023 cover star, Jonathan Majors as the ultimate villain Kang the Conqueror—takes us back to the quantum realm for a fight to save the Multiverse.
Now if you’re not familiar with the original film, Ant-Man and the Wasp, let’s give you a quick recap.
Heading back to 2018, Scott Lang (Ant-Man) and Hope van Dyne (The Wasp) joined forces with Hope’s father, former S.H.I.E.L.D scientist, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to rescue her mother Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) from the Quantum World, where she was trapped for 29 years. After a successful win against the “Ghost,” Janet was rescued from the quantum realm, allowing for a long-awaited fresh start with her family.
Now in the present day, with Janet safely back on earth, the family finds themselves headed back to the quantum realm, thanks to a fancy new invention created by Scott’s daughter Cassie (Kathryn Newton) that sucked them back in.
They soon find out what really happened in those 29 years that Janet was trapped, discovering she left on irreconcilable terms with Marvel’s newest villain, Kang the Conqueror. Due to their differences, the quantum realm went under mass destruction and Janet’s to blame. She returns to restore the quantum realm and save the Multiverse. Will the team be able to conquer the Conqueror?
