Titled “Collection 11,” EBONY 2022 Power 100 Style Curator awardee Sergio Hudson’s latest runway show was filled with vibrant, neon colors, which we can say was inspired by the vivid work of the acclaimed artist Jason Naylor. Touched by the painter’s empowering mural outside of his Los Angeles showroom with a message that said ”Believe,” Hudson tapped him to create a custom print for his tees. We also saw Hudson reference some of our favorite iconic ’90s TV characters such as Fran Drescher in The Nanny and the original bad and bougie Hilary Banks fromThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He also paid homage to Chanel’s late legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld with strong shouldered-crop jackets and sending a leather water bottle down the catwalk. Additional tandout pieces include the lightweight jersey knit gowns, layered trench coats, and moto mini dresses all in highlighter hues; fun and flirty color-block slip dresses; and goddess-like cut-out gowns.
