Don’t you hate when something feels so right but you know it’s so wrong? Or what about something that tastes so good but it’s really bad for you? Like a double bacon cheeseburger with loaded french fries? Yes, that sounds absolutely amazing but we know a meal like that could be damaging later on despite how good it may taste at the moment. But what about the things that are good for you but can also be bad for you? Like mixing certain fruits or mixing fruits and vegetables? It may taste good and give your body the nutrients it needs, but it can be damaging to your insides and digestive system. So is fruit really good for you? Or can it be more harmful than we think? Well in some circumstances yes it can be harmful. In fact, these specific juicy fruits can ruin your skin. 

Fruit Is Great, But What Are The Cons?

Now, this isn’t an article telling you that fruit isn’t good for you and that you should exclude it from your daily intake because that statement is far from the truth. In fact, fruit is one of the best ways to start a healthy lifestyle because of the vitamins, proteins and health benefits that are found in fruit. So canceling fruit out of your daily diet is not something that will ever be suggested unless it’s for specific reasons such as allergies.

However, as great and beneficial as fruit is, of course, there are some cons to it but not necessarily in the way you may think.

For one instance, fruit can be a con to you if you have allergies to specific fruits or specific types of fruit (i.e. melons, berries).

Another way that fruit can be harmful to the body is if you’re consuming too much of a high acidic type of fruit. It can cause your body’s pH levels to be thrown off or cause imbalances.

Another way fruit can be a con to you and your body is by messing with your skin. This does tie into allergies but it can be a little more than that.

These Different Types Of Fruits May Be Causing Both Harm And Good

Since fruits are considered healthy and many people believe that in order to continue to be healthy or to become healthier, they need to eat more and more fruits. Yes, it does sound like a good thing when you think about it. Getting more of the nutrients that come with fruits to be healthier, but too much of anything can do more harm than good. One reason is that different fruits have different nutrition levels so mixing bananas and strawberries might taste good but not work well with your body. 

Some fruits have high levels of sugar (apples have about 20gs of sugar in them), which can cause problems over time with your sugar levels. Some fruits are high in acidity (oranges, lemons, limes, pineapples, peaches, plums, etc.) which can cause skin rashes and dental erosion.

Fruits such as oranges, lemons, limes, peaches, pineapples, and others are great to eat and add to your meals or to use in your concoctions but they can cause a few medical problems.
