Faith Evans Asks Judge To Deny Stevie J’s Request For Spousal Support

Faith Evans has asked the court to deny Stevie J’s request for spousal support during their divorce proceedings.

Along with asking the court to block his request, Evans is asking that she be able to retain everything she had before getting married.

The document reads, “all property acquired prior to marriage, by gift, inheritance, or devise, and after the date of separation.” (She) contends that the exact nature of such assets and debts are not yet fully known, and (she) will amend her petition or supplement it at the time of trial.”

As of now, it is not clear the exact amount that Stevie J is asking for, but it seems that Evans is not concerned with getting any spousal support from him. Another detail that has raised some eyebrows is the date in which the couple is listed to have been separated.  Documents state they were separated on October 19, 2021. While, Evans says they have been separated since May 29, 2020.

Evans and Stevie have had their fair share of issues since they got married in 2018. However, prior to moves toward divorce, the two have seemed to found a way to make things work.
