Rapper Waka Flocka’s Mother Deb Antney Under Fire After Proudly Proclaiming She’s A Trump Supporter In New ‘Growing Up Hip Hop’ Promo Clip

Once again, another recognizable face has emerged as a Trump supporter, right as the Trump era is seemingly coming to an end – Deb Antney, mother and former manager of rapper Waka Flocka Flame. The Georgia resident resides in a state that has apparently just turned blue, however and she may regret these comments very soon.

Regret with having come into Trump’s orbit seems to be flying fast on the Internet, as it seems as if the current administration’s fortunes have turned for the worse, pending the final confirmation of all the votes counted and electoral votes granted.

At the beginning of the administration, there was more of a stomach for supporting a candidate of choice but as the administration dragged on during a global pandemic, it seems as if even some hard-core supporters have shifted their allegiances.

Steve Harvey was one of the first Black celebrities to take a meeting with the then-new President at Trump Tower, highly publicizing the moment in an effort to show that he was reaching out to be proactive. Steve’s since publicly regretted making that decision and has backpedaled on what the moment was for.

At the time, Harvey was widely chastised for making the very public choice and taking the photo opportunity. After some time, Steve realized that the choice took a hit on the ratings of all his shows during the ordeal: Family Feud, Little Big Shots, and his own self-titled talk show. Later, Harvey admitted to his error while discussing Colin Kaepernick and the NFL controversy on his syndicated radio show, “The Steve Harvey Morning Show.”

“Meeting with Donald Trump was the worst mistake of my life. I should have never gone up there.”

Another Southern bred rapper may also regret his choice of candidate and the backlash that it caused with a huge amount of his fans is Lil Wayne, who tweeted a picture with the President along with a message of support for his maligned “Platinum Plan.”

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done. ??”

Singer John Legend took aim at all his fellow celebrities who supported Trump and the flimsy plans he rolled out and the falsehoods in it during his performance and speech on the final night of the Joe Biden campaign. It’s widely believed that he was speaking to Lil Wayne, as one of the biggest artists to come out in support of Trump right before the election.

“Some of your former favorite rappers have been taken in by these lies. I think they even founded a new supergroup; it’s called The Sunken Place. But Trump’s Platinum Plan for Black folks is nothing but fool’s gold, because you can’t bank on a word he says.”

Now we can add former manager of Gucci Mane, executive producer of the show and Waka’s mom to the list of Trump supporters who may reside in Legend’s “sunken place.” In a new promo for the upcoming season of Growing Up Hip-Hop, Antney loudly proclaims her support for Trump.

Rapper Da Brat is seen calling her out – as well as her own son’s face when she drops the bombshell, the reaction priceless.
