Black Man Refused to Show ID Struggles with Cops Trying to Pull Him Out of The Car

Video shows police officers in a Baltimore suburb pulling a Black man from a car during a traffic stop last week. Since the incident Anne Arundel County, Maryland police have denied any wrongdoing in the incident according to KCTV 5.

Wedington said on video, “All right, so, she’s going 45 in a 30, they pulled her over for a traffic ticket. How is it lawful for them to get the identification of the passenger?”

Officers then reached into the car in an attempt to pull Wedingon from the vehicle.

“Antoine, please!” Janney said. “Please stop!”

“They’re not trying to let me get out of the car myself bro!” Wedington said. “You took your time with the investigation, I can’t take my time and get out of my car?”

“No,” an officer responded.

“My child’s in the car,” Wedington said, before turning to kiss Janney.

“Do you understand that you are under arrest?” an officer asked.

Anne Arundel County Police Department officers initiated a traffic stop. While completing the traffic stop, officers obtained information that Antoine Lee Wedington, 23, of Brooklyn, Maryland had two active warrants.

Officers told Wedington about the active warrants and that he was under arrest. The officers asked him to get out the car in order to take him into custody. The officers gave several verbal requests for Wedington to step out of the vehicle, according to police.

However, Wedington refused to step out of the vehicle. Then once he refused to get out of the car, he was physically removed from the car and placed under arrest. Wedington was charged with resisting arrest and served with the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Bench Warrant.
