A Texas woman was captured on video getting on the end of a water hose after she got into a confrontation with her neighbor over a Black Lives Matter (BLM) flag. The encounter took place on Oct. 7 in suburban Austin, according to KXAN-TV.
A video shows Ian Doherty holding the water hose with a sprinkler attachment as the encounter started. Doherty repeatedly told the woman to leave his property and once she didn’t she got sprayed with the hose. Then she started to chase him and caused her to slip and fall a few times. The video cut off as a witness offered to call the police over his behavior.
Doherty told KXAN the incident started after the woman began to berate his neighbor because she had a Black Lives Matter flag in her yard. The woman was allegedly outraged because the BLM flag was featured more than the American flag. Doherty says she screamed “white lives matter” during the altercation, which lasted about 30 minutes.
When Doherty came outside to defend his neighbor, the woman directed her negative energy toward him.
“She told me where to stuff it,” he recalled. “I don’t remember her exact words, but she swore at me, yelled at me, and then I blew it off.”
