‘Sit Yo A— Down’: Shaq Says Dwight Howard ‘Didn’t Do Nothing’ To Be Celebrating Lakers Championship Win, Refers To Players As Bandwagon Jumper and Frontrunner

NBA Laker star Dwight Howard and former NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal have been embroiled in a battle for some years and it’s been reignited.  Shaq hasn’t been the biggest Dwight Howard fan and has made it known as the two has traded shots over time.  What started out as playful banter at the beginning over who the real “superman” of the NBA was, developed into something more serious over time, and is catching more heat now that the current Lakers’ star is celebrating his recent ring.

For starters, when O’neil began to play for the Orlando Magic in 1992, fans would label him “superman” every time the legend would dunk at the games.  Years later, Howard began to call himself superman when he played center for the same team and even donned a cape while winning a dunk contest.  This would be the start of a ridiculous feud.

One of Shaq’s many quips with Howard was the fact that he had never won a ring in his career.  When Howard appeared on Nick Cannon’s Wild’n Out, Shaq post a clip to his Instagram in jest at the Laker star.  Howard addressed their beef at a Wizards media day, saying “What’s going on between me and Shaq? I don’t know. I woke up and saw that he posted something about a roast they had against me. So, I decided to clap back. Obviously, he’s got some things he wants to get off his chest about me. I don’t have any personal issues with him.”

He added, ”But if you do want to get to a roast, I can roast with the best of them. I’m ready. I’ve got some in the chamber, some jokes in the chamber. Let me say that so people don’t think I’m gonna do anything crazy. It’s all love. I don’t have anything against him. He came before me as a pioneer in the game for a lot of guys that play my position. But I’m not gonna be quiet.”  Upon hearing this, Shaq responded saying, “I only battle with champions Lil man, you ain’t in my division, you in Charles Barkley division. Focus on getting that ring brother.”

Now that Howard is a part of a championship winning team and has gotten said ring, he’s obviously in full celebration mode.  The Atlanta-born player took to Instagram live to deliver an emotional message to perhaps motivate and inspire his fans.   “Everybody out there, don’t ever give up on your dreams!” Howard stated. “You can f**kin do it, I swear! Just keep fighting. I swear, don’t ever give up on yourself. Look at this sh*t bruh!”

However, Shaq, although recently quiet in regards to Howard, doesn’t seem impressed in the slightest bit.  During his recent podcast, he doesn’t drop any names, but he had some words seemingly directed towards the current champion, stating that he should “sit down” because he “ain’t done nothing.”

“You know what I don’t like as a player? It’s a lot of players on their little Instagram bragging like they were the reasons they got the championship. I ain’t gon’ say no names,” Shaq said. ” Sit yo a** down, you didn’t do nothing. Stop it…I know you know who I’m talking about. Stop it. Frontrunner. Bandwagon jumper. Stop it. Don’t be talking to me like you no player. Sit yo a** down and stop it. Post one pic and sit your a** down.”
