Lil Kim’s Baby Father, Mr. Papers Under Fire After Suggesting He Would ‘Take Her Life’ If She Cheated On Him, Fans Call The Joke Toxic and Concerning

Rap legend Lil’ Kim has emerged in music news this past week, although it wasn’t music of her own. The recent release of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘WAP’ visual has fans drawing comparisons to Lil’ Kim past influence and iconic looks. Fans noted similarities from the rotating statues of Cards B and Megan Thee Stallion squatting, reminiscent of Kim’s infamous pose “Hardcore” album’s cover art, the similar hairstyles that she’s rocked during her prime, and many started to show appreciation to Kim.

Now, the Queen Bee has made it in the news again, but this time for something more concerning, as her baby’s father shared a disturbing message online regarding their relationship.

Lil Kim was first linked to her baby father, Mr. Papers, whose real name is Jeremy Neil, back in June of 2012. Mr. Papers, a rapper from New York, had been combing his way through the industry for years. He also collaborated with Kim on her remix of Rihanna’s “Pour It Up,” also starring in one of her music videos. However, the relationship between the two did not become public until in 2014 when Lil’ Kim announced her pregnancy.

Kim made the announcement at a New York Fashion Week afterparty, but Mr. Papers was revealed to be the father when he posted an Instagram photo with the cryptic caption, “I heard everybody looking for me ?????????????????”

The then couple welcomed a beautiful baby girl on June 9, 2014, named Royal Reign. Soon after the baby’s birth, the couple broke up and underwent a pretty public dispute over custody. Mr. Papers filed a suit for visitation in 2015, which prompted Kim to fire back with a lawsuit of her own, claiming he physically assaulted her, which his publicist denied.

During this time, Mr. Papers also released a freestyle to express his pain over the situation. In a video upload, the rapper freestyled lyrics over Jhene Aiko’s “The Worst” instrumental, opening up about him not having custody over Royal, as well as other details of the relationship, captioning it by tagging her handle and placing a broken-heart emoji next to it.

Through all my regrets they say the boy blessed. I’m calling it stressed. My eyes water, I see my daughter’s barrettes and they say it’s my fault, man I guess. They say I got a cold heart, but I still gave her space every March 9th. I know she’s an idol, she’s an icon. But I’m from the streets and I got about 55 on. She got money with Mayweather. I sold drugs and p—y, told her it paid better. And instead of beefing with Remy, do songs with the girl, it could be way better. Whatever, besides the pigs cuffing me, I just want to see my daughter but you got custody. And you the best mother in the world but she still gonna be daddy’s little girl. Pray for me.

This isn’t the first song, Mr. Papers dedicated to Lil Kim. In 2017, Mr. Papers released a song dedicated to Lil Kim sampling Total’s ‘Kissing You’ detailing how hard it is for him to be faithful.

Back in November, Lil’ Kim posted a video on Instagram that was recorded by a new man in her life who presented her with jewelry. “Thank you baby @thegreat_leader it’s beautiful” the caption read, directing everyone to believe she had moved on from Mr. Papers.

Well, now it seems the couple is giving their love another chance. On Monday, Lil Kim and Mr. Papers exchanged what some would deem controversial messages. See below.

Although some fans believed the messages were harmless and the couple joking, many found the jokes extremely concerning, labeling the relationship, ‘toxic.’
