“We Need Another Black Man In The White House”: Nick Cannon Reveals He’s Voting For Kanye West In 2020, Actor Says He Loves It

‘Ye’s latest foray into the political arena continues undeterred despite not launching his campaign until July 4, 2020. The late start makes Kanye’s quest to become the 46th President of the United States, even more unlikely, as the timing disqualified him for 225 of 538 total Electoral College votes.

Earlier this week, it was discovered that at least two individuals with political ties to President Trump have been working to establish the Yeezy White House run. In particular, one person, Lane Ruhland, a Trump campaign lawyer who also presided over Wisconsin’s 2016 General Election recount on behalf of the state Republican party, also provided ballot signatures for the West campaign to the state’s election officials. Additionally, several active Republican party members have some involvement in Kanye’s 2020 bid, as reported by numerous sources.

When asked about the precariousness of the entire effort and in specific context, how his candidacy affects Democratic Nominee Joe Biden, Kanye answered, “I’m walking for president.” Many have interpreted his run, ahem, “walk,” is a ploy to steer voters away from Biden and re-elect Trump.

House Majority Whip James Clyburn of South Carolina minced no words, “We saw what was going on in Wisconsin where he was getting help getting on the ballot. But African Americans, most especially, know what this campaign is all about.” He continued, “We’ve seen this before. We fell victim to it when we didn’t know where it was coming from or what was going on …we’re not going to make that mistake again. We ain’t going to be shamed in this election.”

Perhaps the South Carolina Democratic Congressman should pause and re-evaluate the proverbial “we” as not all share his perspective. Rapper-Comedian-Actor Nick Cannon has already thrown down his gauntlet for Kanye West 2020. When asked by a TMZ paparazzo, Cannon responded, “I love it.” And later, “We need another Black man in the White House.”

Cannon himself was recently under fire for controversial comments about the Jewish community, conspiracy theories, and other fringe religious beliefs, losing his contract with Viacom for his improv comedy show, Wild N’ Out in the process. He would eventually make an apologetic statement.

Despite the implications of Kanye vote primarily assisting Trump, Cannon stated, “You never know, man. Stranger things have happened in 2020.”
