Snoop Dogg calls out NFL owners for remaining silent about racism

Snoop Dogg has called out the owners in the NFL for remaining silent during a time when racial tensions are high following the killing of George Floyd. A few days ago, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell gave a public statement saying that the league should’ve listened to their players’ concerns on racism earlier. So far, no statements have been made from any of the league’s 32 teams.

“Has anybody seen any NFL owners since all of this been going down?” Snoop asked. “NFL owners, the owners of the teams, the 32 owners, the ones that won’t give Colin Kaepernick a job, the ones that won’t give a Black man a general managing job, the ones who won’t allow another Black man to own a team.”

He continued, “Where the fuck are the NFL owners at? Where y’all at? Y’all make all that fucking money and don’t have shit to say when this type of shit happen, but you wanna ban Colin Kaepernick — don’t wanna give him a job, blackball him.”

“NFL owners y’all better get y’all shit right before the spotlight becomes on y’all and we start realizing that y’all real racists too. I like NFL, but if y’all not gon be right, fuck y’all! Owners y’all need to say something nigga!” the “Gin And Juice” rapper concluded.

The NFL has been widely criticized due to the fact that Kaepernick has not been signed to a team since 2016, the season he started kneeling during the National Anthem. Rev. Al Sharpton recently told Goodell during Floyd’s funeral service that his apology was “empty” and told him to rehire Kaep.

“Oh it’s nice to see some people change their mind. The head of the NFL said, ‘Yeah, maybe we were wrong,” Sharpton said. “Football players — maybe they did have the right to peacefully protest.’ Well, don’t apologize. Give Colin Kaepernick his job back!”
