Toni Braxton and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds have created some beautiful music together over the years and a recent post from the “living legend” reminded fans how long it’s been since the two teamed up, sparking questions about when they can look forward to a new collaboration from the pair.
When Babyface went head to head with Teddy Riley during the now-infamous Instagram Live battle (take two), Toni Braxton made it crystal clear that her loyalties lie with her long-time collaborator, friend, and clear winner of the face-off, Babyface. The singer shared a captionless image of her with the LaFace Records co-founder in response to the battle, letting the picture do all the talking. Fans immediately flooded her comments with requests for new music from the pair.

Babyface recruited Braxton in the early ’90s and signed her to LaFace, going on to co-produce her debut album, “Toni Braxton,” in 1993. They created a slew of classics together, including “Seven Whole Days,” “Breathe Again,” and her breakout single “Love Shoulda Brought You Home,” to name just a few. Most recently, the two released the joint Grammy Award-winning album “Love, Marriage, & Divorce” in 2014, which took home the Grammy for Best R&B Album.
It seems that six years without new music from the pair is where fans draw the line, with one asking, “Are we getting something new from you two?!?!?! ?”

After a new Babyface collaboration, next on the fans’ list of wants from Braxton is a firm wedding date for nuptials for the songstresses and fiancé Birdman. Although she claims they’re “definitely gonna do it this year,” some remain skeptical.
