‘You Look Like Your Mom’: Reginae Carter Refers to Father Lil Wayne as Her Twin in Throwback Photo, Fans Disagree

It’s not uncommon that when Reginae Carter posts a photo of herself on social media, people tell her that she looks like her mother Toya Wright.

That’s probably why Reginae got a big reaction after she declared she looks like her father Lil Wayne.

On Monday, Feb. 17, the 21-year-old Carter shared a throwback photo of Wayne where the rapper looked like he did when he was in the group Hot Boys.

Wayne is wearing a No. 8 Kobe Bryant Los Angeles Lakers jersey in the pic, and it’s not clear if Reginae was also honoring Bryant with the post, following his death in a Jan. 26 helicopter crash.

“Das my twinnnnn?,” wrote Reginae next to the throwback photo, which has received more than 92,000 likes so far.

But many strongly disagreed with her, which they stated in the comments.

“You look like your mom lol,” wrote one of Reginae’s followers.

“Lol uhuh you look like your mama,” another person stated.

“But you look exactly like ya mom,” a third person commented.

A number of people also said Reginae actually does look like her dad. Some even used the word “twin” as she did in the caption.

Moreover, there were those who said the actress and social media star favors both Wayne and Wright.

“You’re a perfect combination of both your parents for real for real lol ?,” one of Reginae’s followers wrote.

“I think you look more like Toya but you have some of Wayne features,” another stated.

Peppered throughout the debate about which parent Reginae resembles, there were comments about Wayne and what he’s meant to people throughout their lives.

“Girl I love yo daddy. My entire upbringing is Wayne,” wrote “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” star Charmaine Walker of the rapper.

“The whole reason My body marked up like a subway in Harlem,” wrote someone else, who quoted Wayne’s line from the 2004 Destiny Child’s song “Soldier.”

“My fav Hip hop artist since I was 16,” another person stated.
