Lizzo has been doing a lot in these streets lately. Most specifically, the singer has been disrobing quite frequently in some eye-popping Instagram posts.
But this time, the 31-year-old songstress, born in Detroit as Melissa Viviane Jefferson, decided to go especially bold during the Los Angeles Lakers game on Sunday. While dancing with the Lakers dancers, she decided to lift up her dress and plaster her thong and butt cheeks all over the jumbotron.

The cheerleaders were dancing to her No. 1 Billboard smash hit “Truth Hurts.” Lizzo was already gazing up at the jumbotron and, when the cameras closed in on her, she turned and flashed the entire arena while twerking. This move incited some serious responses from Twitter users and invokes the issue of “clout chasing” as well as body shaming.
Fellow singer Ari Lennox, who was previously accused of “fat-shaming” Lizzo, felt compelled to tweet this message since her name keeps coming up regarding Lizzo and her weight.
“I know this is late but I’m tired!!! Stop using my name and my previous rant to bash and body shame Lizzo. For the last time my previous rant was no diss to her. I’m not here for that ignorant s— and want no inclusion!!!”
This hardly calmed Black Twitter as they mostly went in on Lizzo for her imprudent move in a stadium filled with families and children. Check out a sampling of the responses below:
