New Kenya Barris Sketch Comedy Show Premieres on Netflix in December

Astronomy Club: The Sketch Show, a new six-episode sketch comedy series from Kenya Barris’ Khalabo Ink Society’s production company, will launch on Netflix on December 6. Members of the Astronomy Club, a sketch comedy and improv group first formed in 2014 that built a following through live performances in New York, include Shawtane Bowen, Jonathan Braylock, Ray Cordova, James III, Caroline Martin, Jerah Milligan, Monique Moses and Keisha Zollar.  Sketches on the show will explore an array of topics that range from pop culture and social issues to the Black experience. Barris, the creator of black-ish, executive produces the series alongside showrunner Daniel Powell (Inside Amy Schumer, I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson) and Khalabo Ink Society’s Anni Weisband.
