Late Rapper Pop Smoke Grave Destroyed, Individuals Responsible Attempted To Steal Casket, According to TMZ

According to TMZ, Pop Smoke’s final resting place was vandalized over the weekend at the Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY early saturday morning. But it doesn’t end there; apparently, the individuals responsible were attempting to remove the late rapper’s body.

Images obtained by TMZ showed the late rapper’s marble plaque with his name ‘Bashar Barakah Jackson’ cracked, along with debris and flowers. TMZ is also reporting the individuals responsible may have gotten into the tomb, as drag marks have been identified. However, that’s all speculation at the moment.

Pop Smoke passed away on February 19, 2020, after individuals broke into the rapper’s Airbnb after he accidentally posted an image that included his address on social media. He became a household name back in 2019, with his breakout single, “Welcome To The Party.” Nearly five months following his passing, Pop Smoke’s debut album, “Shoot for the Stars, Aim for the Moon” was released, debuting number one on  Billboard 200 with first-week sales of 251,000. His second posthumous album, ‘Faith’ was released July 16 and also debuted at number one. The alleged individuals responsible for taking his life are currently awaiting trial.

At this moment, authorities are unsure who’s responsible for destroying the site.
