Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s hot new single, WAP, has gotten lots of attention in the few days since its release. Fans have delighted in the song and video and have been demonstrably vocal in their support all over every social media platform.
Needless to say, the provocative anthem has also amassed a number of not-so-favorable opinions. Since the release both, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion has been criticized heavily for the video.
Congressional Congress Candidate, James P. Bradley used the video as an opportunity to take a swipe at the black community as a whole. In his tweet, the candidate stated, “Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion are what happens when children are raised without God and without a strong father figure.”
Earlier today, the candidate took his attacks further calling out Atlantic Records, Warner Bros, and Youtube for making songs like ‘WAP’ available to the youth without any safeguards or advisory notices.
Another Republican congressional candidate from California shared their disgust with the song and video. DeAnne Lorraine took to Instagram with her thoughts. “Cardi B & Megan thee Stallion just set the entire female gender back by 100 years with their disgusting & vile ‘” WAP’” song.” The candidate also called Cardi B ‘useless’ and blamed her for her husbands, Offset’s infidelities, citing ‘prehaps that’s why you can’t keep @OffsetYRN loyal?”
The latest? – None other than Tiger King’s Carole Baskin. Yep. That Carole Baskin. The self-proclaimed animal activist and sanctuary owner gained her media spotlight from the Netflix multi-part docudrama entitled, “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness.” In case you missed it, a significant portion of its viewers have speculated that Carole was responsible for her then-husband, Don Lewis’ disappearance back in 1997. Rumors circulate that Carole caught wind of the wealthy Lewis’ intentions to divorce her and retaliated by anything from hiring an assassin to feeding him to one of her tigers.
Baskin gave all thoughts and spared no feelings in an intense interview with news outlet TMZ. In the interview, Baskin articulated that using tigers as exotic personal pets is dangerous to their species’ survival and will make “every ignorant follower want to imitate by doing the same.” She also remarked on the peculiarity of shooting Tigers in front of a green screen but safer than having them live on set with the artist. She also alleged their use is likely made possible by “big cat pimps” Doc Antle or Mario Tabraue.
