In a now-deleted video, Walker held baby Nola in her right arm and splashed the infant with a water bottle. The baby nearly cried for a few seconds and turned away from the camera. Neek Bey, Walker’s husband sat behind her and apparently didn’t think his wife’s actions were funny.

The new mother was immediately bogged down by angry fans’ comments.

“She needs to realize her baby could have complications dry drowning for her instagram shenanigans ?,” an upset Instagram user wrote. Another person added, “That’s a baby a newborn looks like she went to d-mn far she could’ve choked or something.”

One social media user said Walker’s daughter was “too young” for the challenge. While a gang of people continued to attack the “Black Ink” mom for her video, others defended her.

“Why is she facing backlash?” one person asked. “She’s not the only one doing it . Babies stay in water for almost 10 months . I don’t c what the big deal is ??‍♀️.” Another user chimed in and wrote, “Do not try to make Charmaine feel like this was a terrible parenting move because it wasn’t that baby is perfectly fine her mom her dad was right there. there’s multiple different TickTock‘s going around of this video with white people doing the same thing no backlash everybody thought it was hilarious so please.”

Walker didn’t understand where all of the outrage was coming from and clapped back at critics, “Some of you guys got your panties in a real bunch! MY baby is fine! She didn’t cry. I didn’t harm her. It’s water!!! This post isn’t for everyone but some ppl who aren’t stuck up might find humor! My parents did dumb funny s–t to me all the time. I’m having fun with my family.”

Walker eventually deleted the video from her page. Other platforms who reposted the clip also have removed it.
