Toya Bush-Harris was thinking about her close friend and “Married to Medicine” co-star Dr. Simone Whitmore on Thursday, May 28. Bush-Harris, the wife of Dr. Eugene Harris, posted an usie on Instagram that showed her bonding with Whitmore. While the lighting in the image was apparently bright, fans seemed to believe that Whitmore has altered her appearance and insinuated that the 50-year-old OB-GYN has been bleaching her skin.
Clad in a beige-and-white striped shirt, Whitmore rested her head against Bush-Harris’ tresses. Whitmore’s hair was dark brown and streaked with light brown highlights. Wearing a full face of neutral-toned makeup, the Nashville native smiled wide for the picture. On the other hand, Bush-Harris wore a black-and-white short-sleeved knit shirt and what appeared to be a pair of blue jeans. She added purple eye shadow to pull her entire look together. The 44-year-old Bush-Harris expressed her love for Whitmore in her caption.

She wrote: “Me and Big Sis… @drsswhit Missing you!!!#married2med.” Bush-Harris’ photo received over 6,000 likes and nearly 430 comments, many of which came from people expressing their confusion about Whitmore’s skin complexion.

Whitmore and Bush-Harris have been friends for nearly seven seasons and have been spending their shelter-in-place days connecting with each other through Instagram Live chats. Simone Whitmore and her husband Cecil Whitmore went live on Instagram in a now-deleted IG Story that dates back to the end of April. Bush-Harris joined the conversation and dished to Simone Whitmore about the upcoming season of their hit reality show.
During the conversation, Whitmore asked Bush-Harris to reveal her least favorite co-stars on “M2M Atlanta.” The Detroit native said, “The people that got fired.” Fans suspected that Bush-Harris was referring to Mariah Huq, a cast member and executive producer of the series. At the beginning of April, Huq announced in an Instagram post that she had not yet received her contract for season 8. It’s unknown when the new season will premiere on Bravo because filming has been pushed back because of the pandemic.
