5 Dr. Claud Anderson Quotes

Dr. Claud Anderson is an author, speaker and the president of PowerNomics Corporation of America, Inc. and The Harvest Institute, Inc. Dr. Anderson is known for speaking about history, economics and how to build a system of group economics within the Black community. Here are five memorable quotes from Dr. Anderson.

1.”Power is the ability to get things done despite the resistance and opposition of others. Economics is the production, distribution and consumption of goods and wealth. PowerNomics then is the ability of Blacks to pool resources and power to produce, distribute and consume in a way that creates goods.” — Dr. Claud Anderson

2. “Racism is wealth- and power-based competitive relationship between Blacks and non-Blacks. The sole purpose of racism is to support and ensure that the White majority and its ethnic subgroups continue to dominate and use Blacks as a means to produce wealth and power…True racism exists only when one group holds a disproportionate share of wealth and power over another group then uses those resources to marginalize, exploit, exclude and subordinate the weaker group.” — Dr. Claud Anderson

3. “Slavery would not have lasted one month back in the 15th & 16th century if black folks would have said I’m not going to do it, I’m not going for it. You can kill me if you want. That’s fine. You’re losing money because you bought me. But if you try to enslave me, rob and rape me, steal my kids and deny me the resources and have a decent quality of life & my humanity for 3 or 400 years, I’ll die first and I’ll take you with me. And your mama, your kids, your house and everything else and your dog. But see black folks never stood up. And the worst part about it, none of the African countries in all of the 400 years of slavery, Jim Crow & segregation…the African countries (that’s why I say don’t call blacks African Americans), they did not send not one boat to America or the Caribbean to rescue 15 to 16 million who had been enslaved, mistreated & slaughtered. They didn’t send one boat.” — Dr. Claud Anderson (2018)

4. “Any race that loves the world and hates itself will eventually become its own oppressor.” — Dr. Claud Anderson

5. “Nobody wants to propose black solutions for black problems. Society is more comfortable recommending broad minority solutions for problems that are actually unique to black people alone.”  — Dr. Claud Anderson
